Velma lives with her mother and nine siblings. Her father has passed away, so her mother farms to provide for them. At home, she helps by washing the kitchen utensils. Her favorite subject in school is English, and she loves playing netball with her friends. She hopes to become a teacher so she can help other children in her community learn and grow.
