James Mukwelu
James is an only child. After his mother's passing, he was staying with a man whom he had been told was his father, though he had never met him before. The man did not care for him and James had to fend for himself. An aunt knew of his plight and helped as much as she could but James ended up dropping out of school to try to earn money. He was taken in by the Mully Family so he could resume his education and have the opportunity for a better future. He is hard-working and is assigned student leadership opportunities. He wants to be a neurosurgeon. He also loves to play soccer.

Basic Needs
While students await their KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) exam results, they can stay on at Mully Children's Family and serve in departments like education, medical, domestic, and farm production. This experience helps to build skills that the student can use in life, on college applications, or towards a job; depending on the path they choose to follow. Support helps to provide for their basic needs during their gap year.
