Mary Wanjiru Wambui Mumbi

Mary was just nine months old when her single mother passed away. She was left with a grandmother until she, too, passed away in 2013. No other relatives were able to take her in. She was admitted to Beat the Drum when she was nine years old. Mary has two brothers, loves to sing, and she hopes to be a doctor.
